| FLEET HISTORY Although Padbus dates back to 1980 few records remain of the early fleet. A fleetlist exists from 1986 and another from 1989. The following list shows the fleet position as it stood in 1986 with assumed changes up to 1989 and then all subsequent changes. In the early days the fleet was numbered according to chassis type whereas the current system is based on body type. Because the early fleet was fairly standardised, only a few buses had to be renumbered when the system was changed; viz 163/5 to 500/1, 804/5 to 604/5 and 951-3 to 504-6. Another renumbering occurred in 2009 when MAN/Volgren double decker 287 was converted to open top and became 315. |
