Surprisingly, in view of the fleet's need for low height buses, the Bristol VRT was not much favoured by Padbus. The only covered top one was this lime green and white example. Its out of sequence fleet number arose because it retained its pre-rationalisation number as it fell within the new low height 600 series. Renumbering buses was not a task to be undertaken lightly in the days before computer generated graphics.
