528 (V528 CFC) Volvo B10LA / Wright Fusion AB56D
The Oxford east-west
Park & Ride service 12 passes beneath the low bridge at Oxford
Station. Originally it was operated by single deck Leyland Nationals
and Leyland Lynxes. When an increase in capacity was required it proved
difficult to source low height double deckers so it was decided to
use articulated buses. The first was this Volvo B10LA but
subsequent deliveries have been from Scania and Mercedes. This bus now
carries generic Park & Ride branding and is used as an operational
spare for all three Park & Ride services.
The model is an extensive rebuild of two EFE diecasts.
