290: (OJ52 HDT) Neoplan Centroliner DPH59/33D
Padbus Lite was a short-lived attempt at an internet booked, low cost
bus service between Oxford & London. At the same time, the
long established Oxford-London X10 service was rebranded as Club
Class. However, it was found that customers were not interested in
booking in advance for a fairly short journey and feedback suggested
that what was wanted was a no-frills, frequent, turn-up-and-go service.
As a result the Lite and Club Class brands were dropped and relaunched
as OXFORDMetroShuttle. This bus now carries OXFORDMetroShuttle branding.
The model is a repainted Drumwell diecast. |
